PNC Savings Account Rates

Post from: Savings Account Rates

In reviewing high yield savings accounts and rates, we here at Savings Account Rates Info came upon PNC Bank. This bank is becoming more and more popular as it grows. It began in Pennsylvania and has spread to several other states with branch offices throughout the east and southeastern United States.

Several PNC savings account rates are available in different savings account types. PNC Bank savings rates in regular savings accounts are at about the market average and feature everything you expect from a major bank’s savings account plans. To avoid withdrawal fees, a balance of at least $1,500 is required and for kids under 18, there are no fees no matter what.

For PNC savings account rates with higher returns, a high interest savings account rates option is available in the Savings Max accounts. These PNC Bank savings rates are higher than average and in tiers, where the larger your deposit, the higher the high yield savings accounts pay off. To meet this criteria, the account must have at least $10,000 or more, with tiers going up at $25,000, $50,000, etc.

The next step, of course, for high yield savings accounts is a money market account. PNC Bank savings rates on money markets are in line with the national average, but they have a low $1,000 minimum to avoid fees. These high interest savings account rates are in tiers like the above PNC Bank savings account rates. The first tier is up to $1,000, the next up to $10,000, then $25,000, then $50,000 and so forth.

All in all, there are some great high interest savings account rates available in the PNC savings account rates we’ve outlined here. All accounts at PNC Bank are FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law.
