Chase Bank Savings Account Rates May 2012

This is a review of the Chase Bank Savings accounts and the rates they are offering the American public. These savings rates are only available to American citizens and legal residents of the country. Residents outside of America need to consult the international Chase web site.

The current Chase Bank interest rates for their standard savings account are at 0.01% for all balances. The minimum deposit for this account is only $25, and there is no monthly maintenance fee when the balance is kept above $300 for the entire month.  The monthly service fee is $4.

The Plus Savings Account has the best Chase Bank Savings Account rates being offered at this time. This account is set up with its rates in a tiered format. The minimum balance levels are $0.01, $10,000, $25,000, $50,000, $100,000, $250,000, $500,000, $1,000,000, and $5,000,000.

The following Savings Account rates at Chase Bank are for those accounts that have a relationship with another Chase account that include  0.10%, 0.15%, 0.120%, 0.25%, 0.25%, 0.30%, 0.30%, 0.30%, and 0.30%. For those accounts where this is the only account at Chase Bank, the Savings rates are 0.05%, 0.05%, 0.05%, 0.10%, 0.10%, 0.10%, 0.10%, 0.30%, and 0.30%.

The Chase Plus Savings account requires a minimum deposit of $100 to open the account. The minimum balance needed to avoid the monthly service fee is $15,000. The monthly service fee is $25.
