It is time once again for Savings Account Rates Info to have a new look at what the best savings account rates are and the best offers currently in SunTrust Bank savings account rates.

There are several savings types, of course, so we’ll start with the highest savings account rates available and move through accounts according to their best savings account rates. We’ll begin with the lowest deposit requirement, which is the $100 minimum for both the Get Started and the Personal Savings accounts.

These SunTrust Bank savings account rates offers start are 0.25% annual percentage yield (APY) for the Get Started savings. The savings account rates at SunTrust Bank for personal savings are 0.05% APY, but this account has no fees without an automatic transfer, whereas the other requires automatic transfer from checking to avoid fees.

Depending on your deposit amount, both money market accounts at SunTrust offer good returns as well. The best savings account rates are in the Premium MMA, which offers 0.05% APY on up to 0.65% APY depending on your deposit amount and balance total. SunTrust Bank savings account rates here start with the minimum $2,500 deposit (to avoid fees) and has a 0.15% APY with deposits over $10,000, a 0.20% APY with deposits over $25,000, a 0.40% APY with deposits over $50,000, a 0.60% APY with deposits over $100,000, and 0.65% APY for deposits over $250,000.

The standard money market starts with savings account rates at SunTrust Bank at 0.05% APY and climbing up to 0.50% APY with deposits over $250,000. These have the same minimum deposit requirement of $2,500.

SunTrust Bank is, of course, fully FDIC insured.

US Bank Savings Account Rates Update

Post from: Savings Account Rates

When we last looked at US Bank savings account rates here at Savings Account Rates Info, they were doing well. They’ve changed since then, though, so we wanted to bring you the latest information.

Standard and Gold savings accounts still require no minimum deposit and US Bank savings account rates there are 0.10% annual percentage yield (APY), which is very competitive.

For a US Bank high interest savings account option, money markets are in tiered levels by deposit. They start at 0.05% APY for under $1,000, go up to 0.15% APY for up to $9,999, then 0.20% up to $24,999 and then 0.35% APY for over $25,000. Great US Bank high yield savings account options there.

Even better are the Five Star offers with US Bank money market account rates even higher for these checking account-linked money markets. Yields start at 0.15% (up to $1,499), go up to 0.25% APY (up to $9,999) then 0.75% APY (up to $49,999) and 1.01% APY over that.

Rates are fluctuating a lot in today’s market, of course. US Bank is FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law. Other US Bank high yield savings account options to look at include certificates of deposit which require only $1,000 to open and range in promotional terms at 19, 29, and 59 months from 1.15% APY to 3.00% APY.

It’s definitely worth keeping your eye on the best savings account rates and often, those are found to be US Bank savings account rates. Until next time…

SunTrust Savings Account Rates

Post from: Savings Account Rates

It’s been a little while since we here at Savings Account Rates Info updated you on current SunTrust Savings Account Rates. So we’re doing that now, so you’ll be appraised of the latest info.

We’ll look at several SunTrust account options to show you the latest and best savings account rates available there right now.

Premium Money Market - These are some of the highest savings account rates at SunTrust right now. They’re in tiers and, as with most money markets, they allow withdrawals via check. There are no fees if deposits are kept above $2,500 and withdrawals do not exceed 6 per month. Rates are tiered by deposit:

$0-$9,999 – 0.10% APY

$10,000-$24,999 – 0.25% APY

$25,000 – $49,999 – 0.45% APY

Tiers proceed to over $1 million in increments of roughly 0.15%.

Get Started Savings - This is an account meant for new applicants to the bank, but also applies to current SunTrust customers. This SunTrust Bank savings account rates are higher than standard savings, but require a $25/month automatic transfer from a SunTrust checking account.

There are no fees if this term is met, otherwise they are $3/month. Best savings account rates for this account are 0.35% APY on all deposits and there is the possibility of qualifying for a one-time bonus payment of another 0.35% after one year of savings. See your local SunTrust office for details.

Compare that to the standard savings rate of 0.05% APY and you can see that the extra requirements may be well worth the trouble to get the highest savings account rates.

SunTrust Bank is FDIC insured. All savings account rates at SunTrust Bank are variable rates that will change often. Check your local branch for current yields.

US Bank Savings Account Rates

Post from: Savings Account Rates

When reviewing current interest rates, we here at Savings Account Rates Info came upon US Bank savings account rates and thought we should report those to you. There are some pretty good US Bank high yield savings account rates you’ll want to be aware of.

Savings accounts at US Bank take three forms for good yields: standard savings, money market, and five star money market savings. We’ll look at each.

Standard savings accounts require no minimum deposit and have no fees and no requirements. They have an annual percentage yield (APY) of 0.10%.

US Bank money market account rates are tiered by deposit amount. Up to $999 yields 0.10% APY, $1,000 to $9,999 yields 0.15% APY, $10,000 to $24,999 gives 0.25% APY, and $25,000 and above yields 0.40% APY.

The Five Star Money Market is the real US Bank high interest savings account in this lineup. It requires an attached Five Star checking account, but has great yields with no minimum deposit. Up to $1,499 yields 0.15% APY, up to $9,999 yields 0.25%, up to $49,999 gives 0.85% APY, and up to $99,999 gives 1.01% APY. At $100,000 or over, deposits will gain an impressive 1.15% APY.

These are definitely some of the best savings account rates we’ve seen recently, so you may want to see if they’re right for you. All accounts at US Bank are FDIC insured.
